The Art Of Happiness – Keep Moving Forward!

HappinessWhat does success mean to you?

What is success?

I’m serious about the above questions…

All we hear about in our society today is success this, success that.

I even wrote an eBook called “The Road To Success” when I first started teaching affiliate marketing a few years back.

Over the past few years, my mindset has changed significantly. What I thought was important really isn’t, and what I thought I wanted – really doesn’t matter.

You see, in the grand scheme of things – all that really matters is being happy…

Do you agree?

If you’re not happy, it will affect your work, your life – your entire being eventually too.

Unfortunately, no matter what self help book we read, or no matter what guru we listen too – the fact that we need money to survive on while living on this planet is still a cold hard fact!

I mean, it’s all very well someone saying money doesn’t matter, or money is not what makes you happy.

And I’d agree to an extent…

But what about when you lose everything you had financially. What about if you have no money to start with, and you can’t seem to make any no matter how hard you try…

What about when you have children to feed and you can’t pay the bills – you’re about to lose your home perhaps too…

Do you continue to just drift along, or do you get up off your ass, grab life by the throat – and go out and GET WHAT YOUR‘RE WORTH?

We all have the will to make the changes needed. We all have the will to change what our future circumstances can be financially. There are many things in life we cannot control, but we can shape our future destiny by the decisions we make TODAY.

Our whole future can be mapped out in any given moment, seriously.

Here’s the thing:

We are what we do repeatedly!

If we sit down and watch TV for hours a day, we’ll become a couch potato. If we constantly live in worry and fear, tomorrow will be no different.

If all we do is worry about how we are going to pay the bills, more bills will likely follow. Start believing in you, otherwise no one else will. People will start believing in you ONLY when you start believing in yourself first!

So what do I believe is the key to happiness?

Moving forward (constantly) with new positive education, coupled with a desire to use that new education to better yourself and others… A desire that becomes so strong that you then will yourself to take action on the new input. That is the key… Information is not enough. Knowing is not enough. We must take action on what we learn. Only then, after repeating with dedicated action – will we start to transform ourselves as human beings.

So what you must do is find out what causes you harm. Replace that negative input with positive input. Take action with huge will on that new positive input.

It’s not easy, but isn’t your happiness worth fighting for?

We’re all entitled to it as human beings.

I believe, under the noise of our minds – we all have the natural state of happiness. It’s already there. It’s ready,  just waiting for us to tap in to our natural state of bliss.

What does success mean to me personally?

It’s not about how much money I’ve made. It’s not about what  I have or don’t have (material wise.) It’s not about what car I have or how big the house I live in is. IT IS ABOUT HAPPINESS. If I’m not happy, it will consume me, and then break me. So to me… success is happiness. An underlying element. Surely, it must be worth working towards daily, right?

2014 is fast approaching us…

For me, 2013 was a stressful year. We almost lost our son (never an easy thing to deal with, no matter how trained your mind is.) I also lost multiple income streams. I had huge personal expenses come my way too. I feel like this year has been a year when life is trying to show me who is boss. I say to hell with circumstances – I create opportunities!

Listen, even the most successful human beings in the world have major setbacks, They have to fight. The path to happiness is not an uphill slope, it’s a rocky mountain with up’s and downs.  The master key is that they ALWAYS come back the next day with courage to face whatever life will throw at them…

Courage is not the absence of fear; it’s doing what’s often hardest to do and what you MUST do in order to excel in presence of fear.

Everything starts with optimism…

Today, I’d like to share a post with you written by my friend (and a very gifted writer).

  1. I am so happy that your son is still with you. I’ve thought about this numerous times throughout the year.

I too have had some financial hardships but continue to forge ahead.

Material things are nice to have but I would rather have happiness above all else.

I am always on the lookout for positive influences and this post is one of them.

    Thanks John for sharing this.

  2. John,
I am an eternal optomist and always believe I can make things better no matter how hard it is to acheive or how many pitfalls you have to overcome.
In my AM career so far there has been many ups and downs but I am still here. Unfortunately my partner does not share my upbeat outlook on life and is driven by results.
Bouncing back from setbacks is not in her character. I would like to make enough money to be comfortable and able to spend time with my family and convince her that this is real. I would also like to ensure that my son inherits his fathers traits for overcoming adversity rather than the attitude that just lies down and accepts defeat.
