First of all before we go any further, my main focus is always the health niche. I look for and research out ethical health companies with the best affiliate programs that I believe will be around for the long term.

For example, one of my favorite nutritional supplement companies is a private family run business whose main priority is customer service and they focus hard on that aspect.

By working closely with them, I have learnt that giving the best to the customers they have is their fundamental principle within the business they have created.

However, they only want to work with affiliates that are capable of selling their product range. So, the only way you can become an affiliate and market their health products is through a special invite.

This is good for affiliates because it means they don’t just accept anyone and that they want to work closely with people that they believe have a good chance of making product sales.

Another main reason I stick to the health niche is because I look to promote companies that pay affiliates on a lifetime commission structure.

This means that once I make an affiliate sale, that customer now becomes mine and is tagged to me for life.

So, if that customer ever comes back to order the product, or any other product from that company again – I am paid another repeat commission.

This is the smart way to do affiliate marketing. You do the work once and get paid over and over again for your initial effort.

All of the companies I promote offer health products that truly benefit one’s health. For some of my top converting products, around 35% come back and re-order in the following months.

However, many of my customers come back and add even higher volumes of the initial product, and moreover, they often add on various other health products too.

The advantage here is that once you have made your initial sale, you have a high chance of obtaining repeat orders in the coming months.

This means you are creating a business with long term value where you are receiving repeat commissions for a customer you may have gotten months ago.

This is known as building equity and can become a true asset that can be grown over time.

I believe this is the smartest way to promote affiliate programs, rather than wasting time aiming for one time sales that only pay you once.

Why get paid only one time when you have worked hard to bring in that customer?

By promoting companies that pay you with lifetime commissions, your income can really snow-ball over time.

Once you have a few months under you, older customers come back to buy again.

If you don’t know already, you are now receiving sales for new customers and also customers you got months beforehand in the same month!

Eventually, you will have days when you get a truck load of sales in one day, coming from both new and older customers. This is a feeling no one can really give you; it must be earned through hard work and dedication.

Once I know the company I am promoting – I then go through the products and I find out which products have the best re-order rate and also the best conversion.

I often ask the merchant for a list of their best sellers so I know where to focus my promotions. Again, thinking of the long term prospects.
